Each piece in The OGs begins with a hand-drawn emoji that is then reinterpreted through generative algorithms, distortion tools, and digital painting processes, creating unique hybrids of human gesture and machine logic. Emojis, first developed in Japan in the late 1990s, have become the most universal language of the internet—tiny images that carry emotion, irony, and identity across cultures. By treating these symbols as artistic subjects, FAR reflects on how visual communication has evolved from cave paintings to pixels, and how emotion persists through every technological shift.
