Non Collapsible Concepts is the title of the first NFT collection by contemporary artist Quintín Rivera Toro. The live Mint or launch of these digital works will occur on March 24, 2022, at 7:00 p.m (AST). For this collection Quintín employed works previously conceived as sculptural paintings, to create "stop motion Gifs". Meaning, static works were transformed into short video animations.
The artist remains faithful to the exploration of possibilities of a same work of art and the ways of presenting and conserving it. Rivera Toro has decided to upload these gifs to the Ethereum network to be acquired as NFTs through Zawahra-Alejandro's profile on the OpenSea.
The original project, Weak Paintings (2009), is a series of sculptural-paintings that represent the collapse of ideas and their meaning. It is inspired by the exploration of semiotic theory and "the burnout society". Paintings that when wrinkled show the text, words and phrases, evolving with the changes of time. It arises in the wake of multiple global crises as a reaction of spiritual, emotional and political resistance.” comments Quintin Rivera Toro.

Quintín Rivera Toro's work is collected by institutions such as the Museo de Arte de Puerto Rico, Museo de Arte de Ponce, Dorado Ritz Carlton Reserve, Nova Scotia Art Museum in Fort Lauderdale, FL and the Santa Barbara Center of Contemporary Art, CA .
His work was included in the publication "Frescos” 50 Puerto Rican artists under 35 years, and awarded an Honorable Mention by the Museum of Contemporary Art of Puerto Rico. Part of the private collections that house his works are: the Alexandra and Steven Cohen Collection, Unanue Family Collection and Rubell Family Collection.
