NFNewts is an NFT project based on the Polygon blockchain, which aims to be both consumer-focused and environmentally conscientious. The full NFNewts collection makes up 10,000 unique NFTs on the OpenSea marketplace.
The NFNewts project is committed to following the Roadmap as it is defined. No skips, jumps, or false promises. Each step in the Roadmap will be executed in the order it is listed. The cost to mint an NFNewt is low to the consumer, 7 MATIC. Thanks to the Polygon blockchain, fees are very low (usually under a dollar). Buying, selling, and trading also incur minimal fees through the use of the Polygon blockchain and the OpenSea marketplace.
In addition to the standard possible features (hats, clothing, glasses), each NFNewt comes with a perfectly unique body, stomach, and name. No other newt in the NFNewt set perfectly matches another's body or stomach. This means that if someone likes the color of your NFNewt, they have to get it directly from you, as there are no duplicates.
The vision of this project is to promote a more eco-sustainable crypto world. To help accomplish this goal, 10% of all the money generated from mints and 15% of all the money generated in royalties will be donated directly to the Newt Conservation Partnership. This non-profit uses their funding to restore, build, and renew ponds in order to protect freshwater creatures and their habitats.
The roadmap for this project is laden with utility, starting with the giveaway of Ten 256 GB Steam Decks to the NFNewts community as soon as all 10,000 are minted. This is followed by the creation of the exclusive NFNewts merch store, available only to the owners of NFNewts.
Eventually, you will be able to breed and merge your NFNewts to create new combinations of NFNewts with shared characteristics of the two others. This will lead way into Newt's Arcade and Newtlike, both of which you can find more information about on the website.
