To celebrate the Moon and the spirit of exploration we created an imaginary Space Laser and placed it in Moon’s orbit. Right now it’s dormant, but once we activate it’s powerful beam, it will allow all of us to blast into existence one-of-a-kind moon gems.
Every time you fire the Space Laser, the beam will collide with matter somewhere under the surface, and in the process, transform it into a crystal with a unique composition and texture.
While the beam is traveling down to the center of the Moon, it might hit a chemical deposit that changes its composition, thus rendering the stone with a tint of color.
Chemical deposits are not evenly distributed, and each subsurface layer of the Moon has a different composition. Which means that some tints are only available in certains regions of the Moon. The further the beam goes, the less exposure to cosmic rays, which reduces the amount of sparkle in a Moongem. At the same time, with more radiation coming from the core, the Moongem gets irradiated and gains luminosity and starts glowing.
