The ‘Mental Mammals’ NFT collection is a cropped 8-bit interpretation of the trademarked Mammal logo. Each and every unique piece of the collection is designed by hand in Adobe Illustrator which allows for one-offs and other minor variations in features to enhance the collecting experience.
Mammal’s ‘Man vs. Bear’ logo came about while working on an editorial illustration for the first issue of San Diego-based arts and culture magazine, RE:UP, in the summer of 2003. The name, Mammal, was inspired by the idea of people wearing apparel that labels us exactly as we are… Mammals. Which reaffirms our place in nature on an even plane with our fellow mammals.
Mammal is the creation of Jordan Mitchell, a lifelong resident of San Diego and 20-year veteran graphic designer.
