And you should be mad too! Every day 8 million pieces of plastic find their way into our oceans.

With your octopus, you will help to remove that plastic and will enjoy club benefits at the same time.

1) How much is a mad octopus NFT? Public sales starts on January 8th, 2022. The minting price will be 0.09 ETH + gas. There will be a limited pre-sale for a discount.

2) How much will be donated? 70% of all proceeds will be donated to NGOs who save our oceans. 20% will be used for marketing activities. 10% to cover development cost.

3) How many NFTs will be available? The maximum supply is limited to 4000 MODC NFTs. We believe a limited supply is beneficial for all MODC members and will drive trading volume.

4) How to decide which organizations get a donation? MODC holders will be entitled to vote for the organizations and how much they should get from the total donatable amount. In a first step votes will be held on influence.vote, once the OceanDAO is set up the delegates can change the process if they like.

5) Where can I view my Mad Octopus NFTs? Once you have minted a Mad Octopus NFT, you will be able to see it in the Mad Ocotopus Diving Club member's section or by connecting your wallet to OpenSea.

6) When can we mint Mad Octopus NFTs? The public launch will be held on January 8th, 2022 at 6 pm UTC / 10 am PST. Watch the countdown.

7) What can I do with my Mad Octopus? You can see how much plastic you have helped retrieving from the oceans, get access zu exclusive discount, your Mad Octopus as a profile picture online, and sell your Mad Octopus for profit. Once the female Octopus launches, you will also be able to earn a free Mad Baby Octopus NFT!

8) How can I increase the impact of my MODC? In the MODC members section, you can see the impact of your MODC. Donate additional ETH to increase the impact, which is calculated in real-time.

9) How is the amount of plastic retrieved calculated? The estimated cost of removing 1 kilo of plastic is $9. This is derived from an article published on the reputable science magazine nature.com by April J. Burt et al on September 20th, 2020.
