This work, captures in detail the distinguishable features, of one of Hip-Hop's Iconic Artist: Biggie Smalls! This life-like rendition, done with graphite pencils and charcoal, makes it difficult for the viewer to tell it from a photograph. From the intense stare, to the texture of the skin, hair, and even the leather jacket, the artist captures the features of the subject in all of his splendor!
Born on November 29, 1973, in Flint, Michigan, Eric Jones is a passionate drawing artist with over 20 years of experience in the art world. As the oldest of three siblings, Eric's artistic journey began early and has flourished throughout his life.
Utilizing a diverse range of materials, Eric skillfully brings his visions to life through traditional media such as graphite pencils, charcoal, colored pencils, and inks. He also explores more specialized materials, including pastels, watercolors, and acrylics, demonstrating his versatility and creativity. Eric works on various surfaces, from mixed media paper and pastel paper to illustration boards, ensuring each piece is uniquely tailored to his artistic expression.
This collaboration between Eric and myself, was a way to bring his unique talents to the Digital Space and give people a chance to enjoy them here, as I enjoy them in the Physical. I hang this exceptional work of art in my basement, proudly displaying it along with the other works of art done by Eric Jones, that we hope to bring again digitally to the many collectors throughout the art world.
