Jacquard is the world's first collectively mined artwork: one 8192 x 8192 pixel mathematical painting, built block by block by miners over roughly two years.
There are 353 NFTs plus one Master NFT, and none of them can simply be minted. Each work is created the moment it's mined: with a free, open miner app and SHA-512 proof of work. When a miner finds a valid block, the hash deterministically generates a strange attractor: pure mathematics, no AI, rendered as a unique 4K artwork and minted to the miner on Base.
The formulas themselves were mined by the machine. The creator chose nothing and remains anonymous. Every image can be independently re-rendered and verified against the chain. Mining is live now, in Era 1 of 4, with 23 of 353 blocks found. The final block reveals the full painting and starts the Master NFT auction.
The cover image is Jacquard #1, the very first block mined, one of the 22 blocks pre-mined by the Creator before launch. Even that number was not chosen by anyone: the rules allowed 0 to 25 pre-mined blocks, and the hash decided 22.
