InterMedio is a web3 project that seeks to recover deforested spaces to counteract climate change.
How:
From the sale of NFTs linked to carbon credits, using the money to purchase deforested territory, in order to restore and preserve the green lungs of the planet. In this way you can meet the carbon quota that we generate daily, when taking a plane or a taxi, or also if you have a company that must meet its CO2 quota.
Founders:
39 founding NFTs were created, of which 3 are the ones that certify the buyer as founder and part of the government of the project. The other 36 grant the power to participate in the project journey, something similar to a parliament. (these NFTs do not come with carbon offsets, they just certify the buyer as a founder)
The creator of the project set out to break with the dynamics of most NFT collections and projects that seek to sell before carrying out.
For that, Martin Lago invested his savings in taking a trip through one of the few dry forests located in Chaco, Argentina. Place where the most important illegal deforestation in the world is carried out in an uncontrolled way.
Armed with a backpack and a camera, he travels through the different towns of this province, getting to know native communities and institutions that work in the territory. Consolidating alliances that make it possible to control the spaces they want to recover, outside of government control. The purpose of this project is to generate private reserves of native green spaces, destined for carbon containment and later for the use of naturally generated products.
