Luxury fashion brand Salvatore Ferragamo’s chic boutique in Soho, NY, is bringing NFTs to the masses. The luxury store is testing web3 initiatives aimed at attracting a young audience to the realm.
Thus, all customers who purchase authentic Ferragamo apparel have a chance to claim super rare limited-edition NFTs for free. The playful animated tokens can be accessed via the mirrored booth with huge curved screens right on the spot.
There is an opportunity to design your own 6R3ENE sneaker by projecting a holographic version o your NFT in progress on a six-foot-tall wall, choosing from the selection of masterly designed backdrops. The Ethereum-based NFT from the collection of only 256 items can be minted on OpenSea right in the store.
You can customize vividly-colored atokens with a bunch of additional elements and traits like, f. e., silver chain. To proceed with the mint, visitors need to specify their email to get a social-friendly video and claim the NFT in their wallet.
The artworks were processed by a renowned personality in the web3 fashion, designer Shxpir (Shakespeare) in partnership with multidisciplinary studio De-Yan. Shxpir is known for his psychedelic, 3D digital art with glitch and surrealist elements. Moreover, he stands behind the creation of a limited-edition Ferragamo capsule collection, comprising 200 T-shirts and 150 sweatshirts.

He’s able to evocatively juxtapose grit with luxury in a way that not many others can,” Daniella Vitale, North America CEO for Ferragamo explained the brand's choice of Shxpir, adding: "Even if you’re not experienced in NFTs or if you don’t have a wallet, we’ll guide you through the steps required."
