Renowned FC Barcelona continues celebrating the sports achievements of iconic soccer players of past and present through NFTs. To expand its 10-part 'Masterpiece' collection, the football club has joined forces with the prominent Web3 project World of Women (WoW) to release an exclusive NFT artwork entitled 'Empowerment,' featuring Alexia Putellas.
Crafted by renowned 3D digital artist Rhi Madeline, the NFT piece showcases Alexia during the Women’s Champions League semi-final match versus German club Wolfsburg in 2022. Alexia scored two goals during that game which led her team to victory.
For this piece, a three-dimensional sculpture of Alexia Putellas was crafted, polished with digital painting, special effects (illuminating light within the crowd), and gold adorned, embodying the player's outstanding achievements and timeless legacy.
Future owners of this beautifully created iconic artwork will have access to a range of benefits that provide the ultimate Barcelona experience focused on the world of women's soccer. These benefits include meeting Putellas in person, claiming a physical seat from Barcelona's stadium Spotify Camp Nou, decorated with a portrait of Putellas by Catalan artist Oscar Tusquets and signed by the Barca legend.
