California native Patti Ballaz started as a professional portrait photographer. At just 19, she jumped into the frantic world of TV news, working on the frontlines of breaking stories for three decades, earning numerous awards for her documentary and feature videography, including two Emmys, four Golden Mics, two Edward R. Murrow Awards, a Ruben Salazar Journalism Award, and a Greater Los Angeles Press Club Award.
A robust collection of her work is permanently on display at USC'S Keck Medicine hospitals and clinics.
