An American professional baseball team, LA Dodgers enters the NFT Universe.
On July 12th, in collaboration with Candy Digital and MLB, they will auction off 1/1 NFT that is ‘The Dodgers 2020 World Series Ring’. Besides the NFT piece, created by RTFKT Studios, a collector will get an actual version of the ring as well as a VIP first pitch experience at Dodger Stadium via Candy.com.
The legendary ring was presented in a video box to each Dodgers player and member of the organization last April on Opening Day at Dodger Stadium. Having 222 round diamonds, 10 princess-cut diamonds, 45 custom-cut sapphires, and eight round-genuine sapphires, it is worth $50,000.
Besides the ring, there will be an open edition NFT “featuring a spinning 2020 World Series logo and the Dodgers’ shooting ball logo” priced at $20.20 each.
Net proceeds from the auction will benefit the Los Angeles Dodgers Foundation.
