DON’T miss out! 100x Incoming! See you on the moon! These are just some of the hyped-up statements often coming from The Shill.

Before cryptocurrencies emerged, he used to work for a Circus and went by the name Shillaber. He was an employee whose job was to pretend to be a part of the audience. He posed as a satisfied customer in order to encourage others to buy or participate in events. Much like with today’s shilling of crypto projects that no one heard of before.

This paid influencer posing as an enthusiastic businessman has no care about you. He’s in the crypto business for his own personal gains. His goal is to generate hype around a specific project and encourage you to invest in a specific cryptocurrency. He does that through positive or sometimes negative advertisements, usually on Twitter and Discord. He has no moral reservations about sliding into your DM’s and tricking you into thinking a particular coin or token will make you rich overnight.

You can avoid Shill’s misleading information by checking his social media engagement. His Accounts are often backed by fake following and programmed bots. He promises big numbers and usually once-in-a-lifetime opportunities. Remember, if something coming from a Shill sounds too good to be true, it probably is.
