Collection One is the first collection created by Akeno, including eight-hundred and eighty-eight digital pieces.
The purpose behind Collection One is to connect to the world we live in today, a world that is progressive, modern, and always evolving. Some pieces show modern techniques, while some pieces show impressionist techniques but modernize what is depicted, a male wearing a string of pearls. That depiction would have been refuted during the Impressionist era, but today it is appreciated for the fact that one is able to feel comfortable in their own skin. Therefore, Akeno wants one to realize the beauty of the art technique itself, and also highlight the modern, relevant message the piece portrays.
Akeno created Collection One with hopes that a collector can identify with at least one of the pieces on a deeper level; and with the intentions that collectors can use the pieces for their own special interests. Collection One is not just art; because once one owns the piece, the possibility of what they can do with it is infinite and completely up to the owner. The use of technology allows these pieces to be much more than just an object in a personal collection or a piece on display in a gallery. The ability of having the piece in a digital wallet is merely just getting up to speed with the technological advancements of our time.
