My name is Brrrbon, a clay artist working somewhere between traditional sculpture and internet culture.
Everything I make starts the old-fashioned way.. with my hands, a pile of clay, and usually a desk that looks considerably worse by the time I’m finished. I sculpt each character physically, photograph the work, then bring it into the digital world where it can be layered, collected, and traded.
My work pulls heavily from the culture I’ve spent years around memes, markets, crypto, stocks, bulls, bears, wins, losses, and those rug pulls.
The process is intentionally visible. Fingerprints, uneven edges, dents, mistakes and texture are part of the work. I’m not trying to make clay look digital. I’m trying to make the digital world look like it was made out of clay.
Sometimes the market goes up. Sometimes it goes down.
Either way, I’m probably at the desk making something.
