Steve Powers is an American contemporary artist who lives and works in New York City. The art world knows him as ESPO(Exterior Surface Painting Outreach), a decade-old art world gallery and community in Brooklyn. He studied at The Art Institute of Philadelphia and the University of the Arts. Before fame, Steve worked as a graffiti artist before moving on to studio art. His works are featured at biennial displays in Venice and Liverpool and the Deitch Gallery in New York. In a show of his selfless nature, Powers used a grant from the Fulbright scholarship to help teenagers in Dublin, Ireland, and Belfast’s, Shankhill area create murals.
His works grace art galleries worldwide, including the Brazilian Cultural Pavilion, Contemporary Art Center, Ohio, and Triennale di Milano in Italy. Steve entered the NFT space in a joint drop featuring Saber, a passionate artist who transforms complex graffiti into refined canvas paintings and digital pieces. The duo’s debut collection dropped on the Nifty Gateway platform in the summer of 2021.
