CryptoCubes is a metaverse-native digital art project that allows artists to showcase their works on 3D platforms. It is the brainchild of Han RGB and features a limited supply of 256 3D NFT collectibles in each collection. In describing what the project entails, creators in the first CryptoCubes project summarized it as a perfect way of capturing the excitement and potential of NFTs. Each project gives interested creators slots out of the possible 256 slots to display their works of art. That way, the artist does not have to go through the process of creating individual drops.
The first CryptoCubes project launched on Nifty Gateway in April 2021 and featured Filip Hodas, Roger Kilimanjaro, Nicolas Daniel, Alotta Money, FVCKRENDER, Victor Mosquera, ARC, and Refik Anadol. The second CryptoCubes project featured 16 artists, including Kitty Bast, Stina Jones, Brendan Dawes, and Gavin Shapiro. Each artist dropped a 1/1 NFT piece, and 3 Crypto Cubes were up for bidding via raffle.
