BLONDIE is one of the earliest rock bands to take America by storm during the '70s. It was co-founded by the lead singer Debbie Harry and Chris Stein, the guitarist. The band gained fame for fusing rap, reggae, pop, and disco elements into their music. Before capturing the American market, the band first received attention from the UK and Australia. Later, their third album, "Parallel Lines," propelled the band to fame in America and other parts of the world. Things took a turn in the wrong direction after the members separated, leaving Debbie to pursue a solo music career. However, the band re-formed in 1997 and produced a hit single titled "Maria," which rose to the top charts in the United Kingdom.
Over the years, Blondie has toured many countries, won several prestigious awards, and achieved induction to the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. Blondie's initial NFT drop came in the summer of 2021. It was a collaborative effort under the "Hack the Borders" title hosted on the Nifty Gateway platform.
