FU Owners will be Automatically enrolled in a Series of Draws with some Exceptional Rewards — Creator's Interview

We are joined by Edouard SIMON, co-founder of FU NFT. He lived 10 years in China, where learned a lot about Chinese culture and learned Mandarin. He is the partner in a Beijing-based digital agency.

Chris: FU - The China Inspired NFT is a representation of Chinese culture.What is the central theme of the NFT?

Edouard: FU (福) is a digital retranscription of the long lasting Chinese tradition of Hongbaos (red envelopes). FU Is a collection of 5000 unique NFTs inspired by Chinese culture on the SOLANA blockchain . Each NFT represents a meaningful Chinese character and  has a combination of unique traits and attributes making them rare.

Each NFT is packaged under a virtual red envelope (hóng bāo) that you can reveal or not. FU owners will be automatically enrolled in a series of draws with some exceptional rewards.

Chris: In like fashion, why did you specifically pick the Chinese culture for these tokens?

Edouard: Chinese characters are very popular accross the world for their unique style and meaning, they are amongst the most popular requests in tattoo shop. Romain, co-founder and artists behind FU NFT is specialized in Chinese typography and design, this project was a way for him to show off his skills and share is love for Chinese typography.

Chris: Analogous to the theme, the tokens represent Chinese scriptures and texts. How did you ensure that each one was different and unique?

Edouard: In order to make sure each of our NFT is unique, we've designed multiple fonts for each characters, each characters is also enhanced by a pattern and background. In addition to that, we've added some attributes related to Chinese culture such as Chinese Zodiac animals, Chinese lucky signs and numbers.

Chris: Specifically, what are the rare traits? Do you have a rarity reference chart?

Edouard: Traits are listed above, as the NFTs are still wrapped into red envelopes, the rarity chart will be published on reveal day.



Chris: Surely, the price for all the tokens is the same as the token is  revealed only to the buyer after purchase.  What will be the minting cost of one China Inspired NFT?

Edouard: The Minting cost is 8 SOL (Solana).

Chris: In addition to this, you have a bucketload of rewards. Please elaborate on them for our readers.

Edouard: As gambling is very popular in China and especially in Macao, we wanted to add a lottery twist to this collection. This is a way for us to rewards early adopters. Rewards are: 10 Teslas model X Plaid, 10 luxury watches and 500k USD cash. This means that FU holders will have:

1 chance out of 5000 to win 500k USD
1 chance out of 500 to win a Tesla Model X Plaid
1 chance out of 500 to win a luxury watches

Chris: In the end, we would like you to explain your roadmap briefly. How do you plan to go ahead with The China Inspired NFT after public minting?

Edouard: Pre-Sale is already open for our Discord members and early supporters who registered on our website. Public Mint will start on March 12th with support of some big influencers in the crypto world. On March 25th, holders will be able to reveal the content of their red envelope and discord their unique NFT. From April 1st, we will start weekly lucky draw for the rewards listed above. Late summer 2022, we will release a unique series of Play-To-Earn games that will leverage each traits and attributes of the NFTs. Games will be inspired by traditional Chinese games such as Go game and Mah-jong.
