Chris from NFT Calendar: We love the concept of Distorted World – personally, I am an avid traveler, so I have a keen interest in different aspects of the global population. What inspired you guys to start this project?
Distorted World team: The Distorted World team is fascinated by the metaverse and the blockchain technology and what potential it holds in the next 5 to 10 years. As the world will spend more and more time in the metaverse in the future therefore the Idea of the Distorted World (a real world) in the Metaverse was born. Traveling to countries without restrictions in the Metaverse, standing for a cause, sharing ideas and bringing people and their cultures together in a world beyond the existing world. It is beyond NFT’s, it is a movement!
Chris from NFT Calendar: A lot of concepts go into your project and overall idea. Who is on your team and what are their professional backgrounds?
Distorted World team: The team has architecture/design and software development background with interest in blockchain technology, bringing these two worlds together and helped us greatly in conceptualizing Distorted World and turning this idea into reality.
Chris from NFT Calendar: So the launch, we understand that it will be in 10 waves over 10 weeks. The first drop is on December 31, 2021 with 195 unique NFTs. What will be the cost of each NFT and is there a whitelist? Also, please explain a bit about the minting process and price.
Distorted World team: Yes as you mentioned Distorted World has its own unique concept, the release is as well different compared to the other projects.
Our presale (Whitelisted) week was between 24th to 31st December and the price is 0.05 ETH per Token + gas.
The public sale for Distorted World starts from Friday the 31st December 4:00 pm UTC. Each week 195 tokens will be released and each token price will be 0.1 ETH + gas.
The release of 195 tokens will continue for the next 9 weeks which will be every Friday at 4:00 pm UTC. The minting of DW Token will be possible from our official website only.You can join our social (Twitter and Discord ) so as not to miss new updates
Chris from NFT Calendar: Are all the Distorted Wave NFTs equal? Will there be different perks associated with each wave or NFT? Share a bit more about the distinguishing attributes.
Distorted World team: The rarity of the Distorted World collection is based on the population of each country. The more populated the country the more NFTs this country will have, however each one will be a unique NFT with different traits. The NFTs of countries are mapped from 3 to 22. The countries with the lowest numbers of population will have only 3 unique NFTs and the highest populated countries will have 22 unique NFTs and anything in between are mapped accordingly.

Wave 9 and Wave 10 Distorted World will have different themes and both weeks, every country in the world will be on one of these Tokens! However the Distorted World Team believes the desirability of each Country NFTs is related to each individual's preference and the country/countries each individual relates himself to!

Distorted World team: The 5 NFT Giveaway after The Distorted World collection is sold out will be between the holders of the DW tokens! Those who stay active between our community and who believe in the Distorted World how much the team believes and want to accompany us throughout the whole journey to see the World on the Metaverse!
Chris from NFT Calendar: How about the community. What role will they play in key decisions related to the charity and future of the project?
Distorted World team: Distorted World is about creating this world beyond our world but at the same time, we as well think about the real world and our planet and the problems it faces from climate change to deforestation and polluting our seas and oceans. Thus the community will help with steering the whole thing, deciding on what problem they want to focus on every month. Therefore at the end of each month 5% of Royalties will be given to a winner’s choice charity related to saving our real distorted World.
Chris from NFT Calendar: Distorted World utility tokens, tell us more?
Distorted World team: In the future the Distorted World utility Tokens can be used to enter the countries, to build the metaverse countries as close to the real world countries and as well it will grant people access to countries with these utility tokens. The utilization and details of the utility tokens will be introduced in detail in the future phases of the project!
Chris from NFT Calendar: Ok, I am a buyer who is really concerned about the bigger picture. What would you tell me about the end goal of Distorted World? We can start with where you see the community in the next 2 years, and move on from there.
Distorted World team: We would like to see Distorted World further in the future than 2 years! But since you are asking for the next two years I will answer it accordingly, our near future plan is to successfully release the first collection of the DW tokens in the next 9 weeks, then we will release our DW 2nd collection which will be airdropped for the holders of DW 1st collection, the release of the utility token and dropping more detail of the project . This will be the technical part of the project which the team will be working on.
At the same time we will raise awareness through marketing, building a strong relationship between our community and making this project reach where it belongs!
