In the garden of self-love,
Green leaves entwine.
A heart once sheltered,
Now starts to shine.
With wings of growth,
We set love free.
A bird in flight,
Our spirits agree.
I have drawn this piece from a true story. Some time ago, I found a bird on the balcony of my house. I brought it inside and gave it love, and in return, I received love from it. I felt as though a new light had been ignited within me. I realized that I needed to let it go so that it could achieve the freedom it had. I loved it, but I knew that true love lies in allowing it to be free. It was very difficult, but the most important part of loving is exactly this, setting it free.
