And this time, the new collection will save the wildlife alongside eradicating the environmental impact of Ethereum. Thus, the Australian green NFT startup Meadow Labs and Australia Zoo have partnered for the Wildlife Warriors NFT project.
Wildlife Warriors is an animal and nature-preserving project founded 20 years ago by Steve Irwin, the Crocodile Hunter. It’s most likely that a great part of the web3 enthusiasts who come join the community and get whitelisted for the first drop have grown up with the Crocodile Hunter's wildlife adventures on TV.
While Ethereum gas fees leave a large carbon footprint, the first Australian Zoo collection dubbed Warrior Crocs #1, will be hosted on the greenest, most secure, and carbon-negative blockchain, Algorand. The drop comes to celebrate the Wildlife Warriors’ 20th Anniversary and comprises many series of diverse animal-inspired tokens. 100% of funds from the primary sales will go towards Australia Zoo and Wildlife Warriors’ sustainability and conservation projects to help save animal lives and make Steve's dream of protecting the planet come true.
The inaugural drop dubbed Warrior Crocs #1 consists of 2,000 completely outstanding NFT characters with traits of the Saltwater Crocs at Australia Zoo and some with familiar Irwin family attributes. Each NFT will cost as little as 50 AUD or about 35 USD and will drop on June 14th.
It's a great honor to own these Warrior Crocs NFTs knowing that 100% of your purchase will go save the misunderstood creatures, who have lived here long before humans. Moreover, these NFTs, according to the press release, will be “non-deterministic, utility-driven, and 100 percent unique to the buyer.”
While the whole of Australia Zoo is run by the Irwins, the Meadow Labs web3 enthusiasts knew that they would be the perfect stewards of the family’s legacy into the digital space, offering them an opportunity “to tell the story of the impact they have with the zoo, the animal hospital and the conservation efforts of Wildlife Warriors.”
