"A Walk in the Park" by Matt Perkins, blends a 2D paint simulation with the marks of Joan Mitchell's abstract expressionism. At its heart is a random walker algorithm that generates each brushstroke's winding paths. The core technique was initially developed for Genuary 2025 and featured in responses to two prompts: "vertical or horizontal lines" and "layers upon layers." This piece includes two distinct visual styles reflecting those themes, plus a third alternate take on layering for added depth and variation.
A Walk in the Park is one of the final Genuary Forever releases, which was an initiative to highlight quality generative art releases on BTC inspired by the Genuary month-long generative art activation driven by Piter Pasma and others.
