The Unspoken Words collection began by expressing words on the canvas that could not be uttered in conversations with someone. This work is an image implementation of text borrowing the method of painting. The text I have chosen is an abstract text that is likely to happen in any situation. And the moment you read it, you can think about where the text came from and what it will mean according to your own thoughts, and it evokes images of situations in your head.

As for the painting method, oil and acrylic are used to let the paint flow, or dry paint is lightly applied to the brush and rubbed to create a grinding effect. This effect is to express the tone and atmosphere of the letters as physical properties. I mainly chose as the working texts things I couldn't say in my past personal conversations. These are mainly cynical sentences or sentences using abusive language. In classical art, values such as elegance, grace, and gentleness, which are universal beauty, were attached, but gradually new things were included in the realm of art, and the value of that beauty changed. As I learned that current art had gone through such a process, I thought that profanity had a rude and vulgar nature and came to use it as a working text.

I collected paintings, art, works, and texts for my art work. For example, in a conversation with a professor, there was a conversation about the relationship between the artist and the audience, and I selected the text related to my thoughts from that conversation as the working text. Also, I heard that the fashion in the art world is determined by several collectors or curators who plan exhibitions. When I got my Master's degree and graduated, my thesis, including this series of Unspoken Words works, was awarded the Best Graduation Thesis Award in February 2014.
