Top fashion brands are always among the first to feel the trend-to-come. And the recent NFT hype we all have been observing recently is no exception. Adidas, Nike, Balmain, and other fashion titans had already jumped on a fast-moving crypto locomotive in 2021.
Now, it's time for GAP to conquer the digital space. On the 13th of January, the fashion brand is launching its first-ever NFT collection. For this launch, the brand is introducing a gamified digital experience celebrating creatives and giving customers the unique opportunity to own a limited edition, collectible Gap hoodie. To fulfill the plan, GAP has teamed up with Brandon Sines, the artist behind Frank Ape, for a limited edition drop.
"Launching Gap's NFT platform with Frank Ape is really exciting. We love the message of positivity he brings – the spirit of American optimism. We're thrilled to use Gap NFTs as a platform for creatives and change-makers to further amplify artistic voices in the digital space. This is just the tip of the iceberg. Gap will be pushing the boundaries for what digital assets can mean and unleashing our creativity even further," Michele Park, Senior Director of Women's Design at Gap commented on the drop.
The first collectibles are going to drop on the Gap NFT website and will be available for purchase starting from Jan. 13 up to Jan. 15.
The uptrend GAP NFTs built on the Tezos blockchain will feature four rarity levels: Common, Rare, Epic, and One of a Kind.
The drop schedule:
Common: January 13, 9 am PT - January 15, 8:59 am PT. Price for 2 TEZ (XTZ) each
Rare: January 15, for 6 TEZ, or roughly USD 24.90 each
