A British fry-up is a hot breakfast dish typically consisting of bacon, fried eggs, black pudding, sausages, mushrooms, and toast.
It is usually eaten on Sundays or late on Saturday evenings. The origins of the fry-up are unclear but it was popularized in the 1950s by UK hoteliers gathered at the annual conference of the British Travel Association.
A traditional way to eat a fry-up is with brown sauce on toast.
