Alice did not want to come back home after her walk in the Jungle of Consciousness. She was tired and so needed to have a little slumber in her friend's house. However, she forgot to inform the White Rabbit, who was panicked and thought he lost Alice. The rabbit was used to get followed, so he really had a hard time chasing Alice back. He asked everyone and finally found where Alice was sleeping. The White Rabbit waited in front of her door for a loooong time he would say, if there was time in this universe... there was not. So he could never mention this incident to Alice.
