This collection reflects my girlfriend's struggle last year with psychosis. She actually struggled for 504 days with over 400 of those completely hiding her condition- fighting alone. She was afraid to lose her child and admittedly in the beginning just didn't believe what was happening as it came on slow and then later as her condition progressed she says it felt so commonplace to her that it really took it all to reach such a point of intensity she had to abandon her job and thankfully finally open up to what exactly was happening with her. Hospitalization was a difficult experience, but she is much better now after medication and with this collection we're going to donate half of all proceeds- royalties too- to NAMI in order to provide help to and improve the help process for women and all in mental distress and to visually express how mental illness can affect all regardless of race, religion, etc. The words in the pieces are what she would endure either whispered or spoken to her.
