Rubber is a generative AI diffusion collection exploring the compelling moments in our journey and the undying human need to see what is beyond.
When I saw the first generated piece, it practically leaped off the screen. Up until that point the AI model was creating photo-like images of tires stacked on a race track. Then it suddenly decided to produce this highly abstract pattern and composition that you see today. The elements became fused into a new creation! The patterns, colors, and implied speed drove my early exploration, but the AI artifacts and variations kept me going. I wanted to see where the AI would take such an uncommon creation.
The pieces in the "Rubber" collection are characterized by their unpredictability, yet they possess a striking consistency in look and feel. They often capture a path, subtly urging a turn toward a destination that is yet to be imagined. Among the rarer ones, layers are peeled back or added, revealing a void beyond the matrix—an exploration of decay and creation.
