Easter is a lucid holiday celebrating the prevalence of life over death. Thus, this holiday is about bringing the rays of hope into the hearts of both believers and non-believers alike.
This year Easter is marred by the grief, devastation, and tears of Ukrainian people suffering from the terror of the so-call Russian world.
This year, the bright holiday of Easter comes to Ukraine on April 24th. One of the most widespread Easter traditions loved by all Ukrainians is painting Easter eggs with colorful traditional ornaments. Such eggs are called Pysankas, which symbolize the life, growth, eternity, spirituality, and creativity of the Ukrainian people.
The fire of war is now burning in all of Ukraine. However, Ukrainian cities are standing and brave people who call them their homes, are fighting the evil enemy mobilizing all forces to win this war against the Russian occupiers.
The whole planet sympathizes with Ukraine now and especially this concerns the creative community. From the very first day after the outbreak of war in Ukraine on the night of February 24th, hundreds of fundraising NFT collections have been launched with millions of dollars already transferred to the local GOs to aid both the Armed Forces of Ukraine and civilians.
One of the most recent initiatives comes from the communicative agency Postmen. The artsy NFT collection features Ukrainian pysankas, each of which, in their turn, represents one of the Ukrainian cities or regions. According to the charitable project's website: "100% of profit (excluding operating expense) from these NFTs will go to the Fund set up by the Ministry of Information Policy of Ukraine in support of Ukrainian culture."
NFT Pysankas from the We Believe project include ones dedicated to Mariupol, Okhtyrka, Kyiv, Kharkiv, Kherson, and many other cities and regions. According to OpenSea, the floor bid starts at only 0.01 ETH. While there are many of those who would like to aid, at the time of writing, the highest bid for a Mariupol Pysanka reached 1 ETH.
To place a bid, just follow these easy steps: download MetaMask wallet, get some ETH, proceed to the collection on OpenSea and place the highest bid.
In addition to purchasing NFT and aiding Ukraine financially, everyone is welcome to spread its position against the war in Ukraine by shopping for pysanka-infused T-shirts, bags, tableware, printing them on paper hand-outs, or using them in digital spaces.
The Ministry of Information Policy of Ukraine has created a multi-token crypto account for support and has opened a multi-currency charity account. All profits (excluded operating expense) from the NFT sale will go to support the rich Ukrainian culture, as well as restore the beauty of Ukrainian cities destroyed by Russian missiles and tanks.
Buy NFTs or make a donation directly to support Ukrainian culture, and believe in victory together with the Ukrainian nation!
