Expressions, a new NFT marketplace that showcases artists from underrepresented communities, launches Monday May 1st with an art drop called “Origins & Ancestries.” Featuring 1,000 high-quality handmade artworks from some of the Caribbean’s top artists, Expressions has built a platform to support Web3 diversity and unheard voices from different regions of the world.
Expressions caters to NFT creatives by offering innovations not found on other Web3 marketplaces, including free mints, prices pegged to USD, purchases with a credit card, security features, private workspaces for creators, and more. Creators can mint on the Ethereum and Polygon blockchains at launch with more chains coming.
Proceeds in the “Origins” drop go to the artists or to the nonprofit foundation operating the Expressions marketplace. Instead of generative art, the project features 1 of 1 digital artworks during a three-day auction May 1-3 with bids starting at 0.1 to 0.5 ETH.
