An introduction

First off, hello everyone! I'm Louyan, a self-taught antisocial software developer fascinated by art and science.

I treat my code as art, every line written with the stroke of a brush.

I only started creating code that produces art itself a few years ago, and until now I never showed my work to anyone, mostly because I take peace in just the process of creation and I never thought of it as something that anyone else might want to see and even enjoy.

Even though I worked with crypto before, I was never much into reading the news about it or such. Lately however I noticed that more and more people actually started showing interest in art and the NFT market is blooming with art of all types.

Considering all this, I would like to share my artwork with anyone who might be interested in the convoluted ways of my mind, with many projects to come.

I just created a Twitter account(https://twitter.com/ArtsLouyan) in regards to keeping everyone who might be interested, up to date with my latest and future projects - my next big project being an NFT marketplace exclusive to my creations and eventually a blog where I'll describe how I create everything from the thought process, to writing the code and creating the art... you can consider it a journal of my experience from which you can learn, or which you can simply enjoy.

Even though I know some might think that the floor price is high, I consider publishing this collection only so I can create a community of people who I know are going to be interested in my art, so I can start doing this full time in the near future.

The history of this collection

Inspired by the Rorschach psychological tests, the idea of the Odd Symmetry collection came from playing around with procedural generation algorithms, random numbers and particles.

Being fascinated yet bored by symmetry, I wanted to make the particles move in overall random symmetrical shapes, with slight localized errors which would come from particles coming and going in and out of existence - just like the virtual particles in quantum physics.

Because I'm deeply in love with physics and art, I wanted to make everything as unique as possible. The seeds to generate each one of the art pieces are coming from Random.org, which uses atmospheric noise to generate truly random numbers.

There will be only 1000 images, and it took 1000+ hours to create the algorithms, fine-tune everything, choose the color palettes and generate all the images - the images being generated over different periods of time.

The moment I noticed how the depictions of faces and animals started to emerge from particles flying around, I was mesmerized and wanted to take a leap of faith and show my creation to everyone.

Just one more note

I'm curious about everyone's feedback on this, do you like my artwork and would you be interested in my future projects?

You can follow me on Twitter(https://twitter.com/ArtsLouyan) where I'll post updates about when you can start buying the Odd Symmetry art pieces.

Like with the Rorschach test, I hope every person sees something different in every piece, enjoy!
