Moments is a series of 90 generative works that explore rhythm, randomness and repetition through structured visual systems. Each composition uses code to capture subtle variations within fixed parameters, producing a set of images that feel both precise and open-ended.
Moments is a generative system shaped by reflection, memory and spatial observation. Each composition draws from the artist’s time in Japan, where quiet stays in traditional ryokans, often surrounded by forest, created space for pause and personal clarity. These experiences form the foundation of the series, where memories are reframed using custom code, colour and precision mark-making. Every piece in Moments reconstructs a scene that never existed, but still feels familiar.
80 additional outputs from the Moments system will be minted on the Ethereum blockchain using a long form generative process. These pieces will be available as digital artworks, with the option to order physical prints separately through the artist’s studio at cost. The Digital Edition will also be released on 27 May 2025 and will be sold by Dutch descending auction with rebate.
