The Shaman had heard the stories of “The Mask of Existence” from his grandmother, when he was a child. It was an artifact of the Ancients that was hidden underground for more than ten thousand years. His grandmother told him that whoever wears this mask, faces the unknown like no other did before.
It was the Day 49 of his journey on the island. The Shaman was walking in the Lost Forest carelessly, when he accidentally fell into a cave. While he was trying to find a way outside, he stumbled upon a hidden chamber. There in the center of that chamber, there was this mask. This was the mask, his grandmother used to tell stories about. He did not hesitate. The Shaman held “The Mask of Existence” and looked through into the nothingness. It was both black and white at the same time. There were no words to describe it, so he did not tell about this incident to no one. The Shaman just lit a candle for his grandma and prayed for her soul to rest in peace.
