Recently the NFT realm is being shaken by large collaborative drops. This is rightfully the case alike, as the German luxury fashion house, Hugo Boss (or just BOSS) is partnering with the women-led Boss Beauties NFT project. The top-notch partnership is to launch the Dream Like a BOSS mentorship program.
According to BOSS, the program is an opportunity for both brands “to provide young women from historically marginalized and underrepresented groups with invaluable skills and insights for their professional development.” In other words, the project is aimed at empowering young women to engage in the professions they like, regardless of chauvinistic outdated dogmas.
To celebrate the Dream Like a BOSS mentorship program's launch and raise some funds, the companies have organized a 1/1 NFT auction via OpenSea. The auction is now live with the minimum price of 1 ETH. At the time of writing the highest bid reaches 1.2 ETH.
Alongside the OpenSea auction, Hugo Boss is selling a limited batch of physical T-shirts featuring the NFT artwork print. A portion of the money from the T-shirt sales will also go to the Dream Like a BOSS program.
“Establishing the Dream Like a BOSS program will allow us to give back to our communities, to provide a space for creativity and growth, and to amplify voices that echo our brand values in a supportive and inclusive way,” Rashmi Verma, the head of global diversity and Inclusion at Hugo Boss said, adding: “Joining forces with Boss Beauties is an important step in creating equal opportunities for all women, and this is just the beginning of many great things to come.”
While Boss Beauties is an NFT to the core project, BOSS is not a newbie to the realm as well. In September 2021, the fashion house teamed up with Russel Athletic for an NFT collection. Moreover, Hugo Boss has recently filed metaverse trademark applications for virtual goods.
