Mythos Studios, the IP entertainment studio founded by David Maisel, one of the chairmen of Marvel Studios, is blurring the line between the digital art world and comics entertainment with its latest art initiative. In collaboration with renowned comic book artists Michael Turner and Peter Steigerwald, Mythos Studios releases Ekos Genesis Art Collection, which is the second studio’s art collection drop.
The upcoming series, now available to browse in a virtual gallery at ekos.io, will feature 995 1/1 hand-crafted NFTs. Each digital artwork within the collection consists of Michael Turner’s original line work. Aside from this, there will be 1/1 published color art and 1/1 fresh artwork inspired by Marvel classics, Broadway neon lights, the Pop Art movement, and other influences within the collection, making it truly special.
The Ekos Genesis Art Collection will go live on May 2nd via a Dutch auction format. All NFTs will be auctioned off for 88 minutes, with the bids starting at a higher price and reducing progressively to a final price. The starting bid will be 10 ETH apiece and progressively reduce by 0.5 ETH every four minutes until the artwork drops to as low as 0.5 ETH. If the art piece is yet to be sold out at 0.5 ETH, it will drop to 0.2 ETH within the final eight minutes. The date of the auction wasn’t chosen randomly as it marks a significant occasion, namely the 15th anniversary of the ‘Iron Man’ release.
Prior to the Dutch auction on May 2nd, everyone interested can make a 10 ETH deposit to secure NFTs from the series, starting from April 24th to May 1st. The first 100 depositors will receive an additional NFT from a separate collection dubbed Ekos Genesis Art Portraits.
