The award-winning NY-originated rock band Goo Goo Dolls is on its Summer tour now devoted to the new ‘Chaos in Bloom’ album release. Following in the footsteps of other musicians, the iconic indie and alternative American rockers have jumped into the NFT bandwagon. Thus, Goo Goo Dolls are bringing a 2,200 NFT collection, featuring 44 cities of their tour to their huge fandom.
The news arrived on July 14th, right before the Summer tour launch via the Goo Goo Dolls Twitter post, reading: "We are releasing a limited edition, eco-friendly NFTs for every city that we're coming to this summer! These digital collectibles will only be available at shows on our tour, so Keep an eye out for a QR code to scan at the venue to be directed to the landing page to get one."
Thus, the Chaos in Bloom NFTs curated by the carbon-free Polygon blockchain will only be available to attendees of the real-life show via a QR code, the band said. However, anyone willing can currently mint one of 50 editions via the Fanaply NFT platform at $25 apiece. All animated NFTs contain information about each show throughout the tour. The 44 cities, including Seattle, Portland, Los Angeles, and many others, will host the concerts to finish with the closing show at Buffalo on September 24th.
