History is filled with instances of discrimination and sexual harassment against women. It is a stereotypical issue that has not been resolved. The golden Lotus: A millennium of tortured feet and fashion in China 950-1279 is one example.
This discrimination still persists in the 21st century, despite its change in form. Women's courage in enduring and fighting to reclaim their rights after having been violated is commendable. Despite some restrictions, no one has ever been able to usurp power from women in history.
