What is this project? What’s Back2Back?
It’s the first-ever simultaneous double mint with two collections of NFTs: Monke Backs and Thug Backs. They are the 1:1 reproduction I imagined for the backs of the most valued PFPs in our ecosystem, thugbirdz and SMBs. Take a look at the #monkeback and #thugback channels.
Why should I be interested in getting Monke Backs and Thug Backs?
First, look at them. If you own a thug or a monke you need to have the back of your PFP. If you don’t own one yet, read the second sentence again and imagine what happens when other people want what you own. Second, this is a fresh new chance to mint that skeleton monke back or that alien thug back. Blunts, sombreros, laser eyes, and tron glasses we’ve got them all, in a 1:1 symmetrical reproduction to the originals. We all want the rare ones and this is a chance to get one. What's BackDAO?
BackDAO is an organization that serves two purposes: -bring value to the holders of tokens from the Monke Backs and Thug Backs collections through exclusive access to NFT fractionalization instruments. -bring value to the communities around the two original projects MonkeDAO and thugDAO. So what’s the value proposition? What’s the reason for these collections?
You can read more about our plan in the #roadmap channel and in the #backDAO channel on our Discord server but the short story is this one: you mint thugbacks and monkebacks and then with those NFTs you joint the BackDAO. We use part of the proceeds from the mint to floor buy original SMBs and thugbirdz that we fractionalize and make available to only BackDAO members. Members get to buy portions of blue-chip NFTs at real cost and then own portions of real SMBs or thugbirdz. With the proceeds, we buy more OG monkes and thugbirdz to provide more fractionalize blue-chip NFTs. There will be monthly fraction airdrops. BackDAO members will own real OG monkes and thugz and get exposure to blue-chip NFTs while helping raise the floor to these projects.
If I don’t own a monke or a thug can I mint NFTs?
Yes. This will be a fair mint, just like the mint for the Solana Monkey Business or Thugbirdz. This is your chance to own a monke back or a thug back.
What will be the price for minting these two collections?
Mint price will be just like the original collections, 2 SOL. Yes, I know thugz had 1, 2, and 3 SOL but that averages out to 2 SOL. I want this to be a fair price and I believe this is the best price for mint, allowing us to fully fund the BackDAO and sweep those floors.
What is mint day gonna look like?
This will be a regular old fair candy machine mint. First come, first served. We’re gonna have all the right technology to ensure a smooth mint experience for everyone. We’re intentionally not raising the hype level about this project to where it would put the mint experience at risk.
How will I mint? Can I mint both backs?
There will be two buttons, one for minting thug backs and one for minting monke backs, side by side so you can mint both at the same time. We believe people who see the potential and true value proposition will mint more than one NFT and we believe that is ok. Visionaries usually see opportunities and take advantage of good long-term plans. So we’re not limiting the mint to one NFT per wallet.
Why are we doing this?
Because I feel left behind by the monster wave that was Solana NFTs and I want everybody to be able to own a monke or thug. I think they are an important part of NFT history and they will be very valuable in the future. Owning a small share of that can bring huge financial upside. This is why my project is named Back2Back. Aside from having monke and thugz backs as NFTs, launching and executing on BackDAO means bringing back monkes and thugz to ordinary people.
