This NFT collection is created with the permission of respective artists with sales supporting economic development of remote Aboriginal communities.
As the oldest continuing civilisation on planet Earth, Australian Aboriginal Art combines the most ancient storytelling culture in the world with the most modern art movement.
The artists for this collection comes from Mornington Island Situated in the remote Gulf of Carpentaria, northern Australia. The remote art centre is fully owned and controlled by an Indigenous Board and is one of the longest established art and cultural organisations in Aboriginal Australia.
Mornington Island artists are heavily influenced and connected to their Land and Culture in their artistic interpretations. Their remoteness means artists concentrate on cultural and spiritual subject matter – all centred on connection to Country.
This is the first time that an Australian Aboriginal Art Centre has put together a collection of this kind and we very much look forward to the NFT community for your support.
