For years, young Tom dreamed of becoming an astronaut. He couldn't wait to travel deep into the universe, watching the stars at night and discovering the mysteries of the planets. However, Tom's family did not support his dream. For them, being an astronaut was just a childhood dream and the real world offered a more logical future.
Tom decided to try harder to overcome these obstacles. He read books and attended science fairs to learn all about space. Eventually, he applied to the astronaut candidate program of the US National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA).
Once accepted into the program, Tom went through rigorous training. He pushed his physical and mental limits, worked with other astronaut candidates on his team and experienced the conditions they would experience in space. Finally, with great success, he became an astronaut.
Before leaving Earth, Tom met his family for the last time. He told them what he had given up to fulfill his dream and said that in the end it was the right decision for him.
Despite the challenges of life in space, Tom had the greatest adventure of his life. Flying around planets, gliding among the stars, he explored the infinity of the universe and lived every moment to the fullest. And always, on his return to Earth, he drew the strength to cope from the love of his family.
