I have a collection of mostly hand painted layers (watercolour, oil & chalk). I have organised them into a varied collection, the results of which have a very hand painted feel to them, an example can be seen in the link provided.
They focus on lips, but more on the emotion which they can convey.
To centre on any aspect of human lifestyle, the lips of the individuals are a highly visual tell tail feature. They regard the emotions within as well as contrived and falsified effort. No single thing, even eyes can show the range of the lips.
Lips do help solidify amazing feats, such as to confirm love, but that is one of their more obvious roles. There true captivation and grandness can be insidious and lies much, much deeper, in mucky waters, that is what I have looked to capture here, the things that lay between the sharpness of the evident.
