Art Blocks and Bright Moments have teamed up for the second time to release a collaborative project. Dubbed ‘923 Empty Rooms,’ an art collection is created by a pioneer in the realm of generative art Casey REAS. A new artwork is based on REAS' previous creation, ‘An Empty Room’ – commissioned by the Los Angeles County Museum of Art (LACMA). The focal points of the artwork are simulation, the history of visual representation, and abstraction with the elements of kinetic art, perspective, and cubism.
The main idea behind the 923 Empty Rooms lies in selecting ‘a colorform’ for each Bright Moments location – Los Angeles, New York, Berlin, London, Mexico City, and Tokyo. When these six colorforms are combined with the help of an algorithm, they create 923 unique combinations presented as a single on-chain collection.
923 Empty Rooms will be available on the Art Blocks website starting from August 14th. Each day out of six days, 154 new combinations will be available to mint via a Dutch auction. During the minting period, the artworks from the collection will be available for browsing in six Bright Moment's galleries starting in Tokyo on August 14th and ending in Los Angeles on August 19th. Each location will be presenting the outputs linked to its respective colorform.
There are 917 algorithmic combinations available for collectors to acquire after each Bright Moments gallery receives primary colorforms associated with their locations. New York, Berlin, London, Mexico City, and Tokyo will have 154 combinations each, while Los Angeles will have 153. Notably, holders of a "Full Set" colorform from the six cities will be eligible for an exclusive mint from Casey REAS.
