Steve Head is a seasoned graphic designer and videographer who has operated a private advertising agency since 1985. He is based in Webb City, Missouri. In 2012, Cindy Head, his wife, joined him to launch the couple’s art career. Their efforts took off, causing Steve to earn local, regional, and countrywide recognition for his creations. The first award came in the fall of 2012 from the Downtown Joplin Alliance. He scooped the “Artist of The Year” award for his debut season of showcasing his art. More awards followed later, with the most significant being the “Excellence in Mixed Media” award from the 19th Annual Thomas Hart Benton Four State Regional Art Competition and Exhibit. Some of the exhibitions that displayed Steve’s artwork include “The Art of Recovery” in Michigan and the Rose Gallery in Joplin.
Steve opened a virtual gallery in the Summer of 2021, where he showcased a collection titled “Family Secrets.” In the Spring of that year, he helped his wife Cindy make an NFT artwork titled “Prone to Wander” inspired by “the parable of the lost sheep” in the Bible. The drop happened on the OpenSea platform and included 100 unique collectibles.
