Since this is My First go at NFTs, I decided to Price them at a Level that Could Attract a lot of Buyers but also Reflect the Work Put II Founder's Interview

Chris: Hello! How are you? Can you introduce yourself and tell our audience some cool interesting facts about you?

Gabriel: Hi, my nickname is Gabriel and I am the creator of the NFT collection Powerful Turtles. I just graduated from university and wanted to give NFTs a go, as I missed the opportunity to invest in cryptocurrencies due to being in secondary school when it was still in its infancy stage. I also didn’t have the money as a teenager to invest in cryptocurrencies. I decided to give NFTs a go as the opportunity was too great and I think it is the right time for me to do so. I first heard of NFTs through the basketball Top Shots NFTs and I have been curious about NFTs ever since.

Chris: Amazing. I'm a Top Shots fan myself, but let's talk Powerful Turtles. They look menacing. What is unique about these turtles? What are their key powers?

Gabriel: The turtles are unique as I wanted to show the tougher and stronger side of turtles. My inspiration for the artwork was a mix of three main things. Turtles, American Gangster movies and arcade games. Turtles are not seen as the strongest or most dominant animal but through the show Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, they were shown as being incredibly tough. Powerful Turtles is a depiction of what turtles could be if they decided to turn to a life of crime instead.

They are inspired by the gangsters and mob bosses often shown in American gangster movies, this is shown through their angry demeanour and their smoking (one of the NFT traits). I believe that this is a unique twist to the NFTs currently available, and I wanted to produce something different.

The arcade games of the 80s and 90s had a distinct 8-bit graphic and this was also something that I wanted to recreate (despite being born in the late 90s). Think about the earliest Mario or Streets of Rage games as an example of the art style that I wanted to use. The cryptopunk like art style was a great way for me to do this and was therefore used to give this effect.

Right now, they are only digital avatars but there is potential for it to become something more if there is support for it.

Chris: The base price for Powerful Turtles is 3. You have a small but strong team. The creator 0.01 ETH. What is your expected sale price for the rarities? Do you plan to auction them?

Gabriel: Since this is my first go at NFTs, I decided to price them at a level that could attract a lot of buyers but one that also reflects a fair price for the work needed to make them. All of the designs are different and no two NFTs will be completely the same. I don’t expect any of the sales prices for any single NFT to exceed 0.5 ETH however most NFTs will be available around the range of 0.01 and 0.02 ETH.

All NFTs will be sold at fixed prices so the earlier people look at my collection, the better the chance they have at buying their chosen NFT. I wanted to price my NFTs in a way that it appeals to as many people as possible and that represents great value for money.

Chris: There are 100 Powerful Turtles on OpenSea currently and new ones keep coming. How many such Powerful Turtle tokens can we expect?

Gabriel: As of right now, I will continue adding tokens on Opensea and assess how things are going. I will then shift my focus towards creating more marketing of this collection. If the collection is success, then I will create more Powerful Turtles.

Chris: Likewise, is there a Powerful Turtle community as well? If so, what are the key rewards of being a part of the community?

Gabriel: As a beginner, I don’t have a community for this collection yet as I have not been receiving many views for the existing NFTs. I haven’t yet thought about rewards for the community but that would be something that I do going forward, maybe they can get some exclusive NFTs for this collection.

Chris: Who is the artist behind these NFTs? Do you have a future roadmap on these Powerful Turtles? If so, what are the major milestones?

Gabriel: I thought about which traits I wanted and then I designed them and generated all of the NFTs. I wanted some traits to depict a tougher side of the turtles and some of the other traits were either to make the NFTs unique to what is already on the marketplace and some traits were picked for the festive period. I wanted my NFTs to be fun, quirky, a bit different from the other NFTs and enjoyable.

I would like to create as many NFTs in this collection as many as possible but I also have some ideas for other collections so I will need to see how this collection goes. As this is my first collection, selling more than a few NFTs would be a success but it would be great to create and sell more NFTs so that this collection and future collections can be updated in the future.

Chris: Indeed! So what is your plan for using the sale proceeds? Do you want to redistribute some to the Powerful token community? Are you also involved in any turtle conservation organizations?

Gabriel: That is a great question. Initially I planned to reinvest the money back into my work and hope that I break even so that I can make more NFT collections. I am not currently involved in conservation organisations yet but according to The Wildlife Trusts, Leatherback turtles in the UK are a Priority Species under the UK Post-2010 Biodiversity Framework. It would be great to donate something to them from the sale proceeds.

Chris: On the whole, could you highlight the main features of rare NFTs. How can one remain updated on what is latest with Powerful Turtles?

Gabriel: There are a lot traits that are used in order to make these NFTs so the NFTs will be different from each other. I will be on twitter so if anything changes, then I will first release on twitter and on Opensea. I think that visiting the collection on Opensea is the best place to see if any changes are made.
