The MetaLab Concept Art Event consists of a Series of Giveaways and Community Exclusive Contests, says Dr. Wolf

A Founder/Art & Design/Game Development of MetaLab is a USMC Veteran who served 8yrs. With 14yrs experience in Automations and Programming — Dr.Wolf is now on the mission to make the most out of the created NFTs.

Chris from NFT Calendar: What are the MetaLab subjects? How is each one of them uniquely designed?

Dr. Wolf: The MetaLab Species originate from planet Kryton V Galaxy M32. Alien parasites found their way to Earth and bonded to our planet’s animals in the MetaLab during experimental processes. The first among the specimens created were toads, sharks, wolves, rhinos, and lions – they form the ‘Meta Species’. Each one was crafted and developed utilizing ZBrush.

Chris from NFT Calendar: When is the Pre-Sale? What would be the expected minting price for a MetaLab NFT?

Dr. Wolf:  There will be no presale, however we will be rewarding our top community members who are engaged and active within the MetaLab community. See the MetaMission. The price to mint a specimen will be determined closer to launch as we are monitoring the market and price of Solana to ensure a fair and market-appropriate mint cost.

Chris from NFT Calendar: Chris from NFT Calendar: Are the factions predefined? How does one know the features of these factions?

Dr. Wolf: Yes, the factions are predefined by their animal characteristics (Lion, Toad, Rhino, Wolf, Shark). Later, as the project develops, their ability trees will be revealed. We have also included a variety of different “poses” with our art, and this is something that sets MetaLab apart from other projects where the NFTs typically are all the same pose and position.

Chris from NFT Calendar: There are a lot of new things you speak about on the MetaLab roadmap like the MetaLab Concept Art Event and LabMap 2.0. What is the general idea behind these?

Dr. Wolf: The MetaLab Concept Art Event consists of a series of giveaways and community exclusive contests including Season 2 species selections, concept art contest that consists of concept art our community artists comes up with and the one’s who created the most liked concepts will get rewarded. LabMap 2.0 will showcase our timeline on Season 2 rollout, Meta Island progress, Mini-games for FactionWars, and other project developments in store along with partnerships we will be seeking.

Chris from NFT Calendar: What are the key features of the Metaverse lab?

Dr. Wolf: Metaverse Lab is the overarching name of our project. Meta Island will be our immersive virtual reality hub and will feature P2E gaming, NFT trading, avatar creation, virtual land opportunities, and more.

Chris from NFT Calendar: You are on the Solana blockchain while others are waiting for Ethereum to upgrade. Why did you pick Solana?

Dr. Wolf: We elected to build our project on Solana for several reasons. It’s a faster and cheaper blockchain, and we see it growing in popularity as investors grow wary of the high transaction costs (gas fees) on the Ethereum blockchain. We want to create the best opportunity for our investors to capitalize on ROI and passive income by utilizing the quickly-growing Solana ecosystem.

Chris from NFT Calendar: Some of the MetaLab NFTs will be rare and have exclusive benefits. Would you like to reveal the details of a few here?

Dr. Wolf: While some of our NFTs will be more rare than others, our focus in providing unique benefits to our community and MetaLab citizens is more multi-faceted. We have designed a whole system of Community Rewards that begins before we launch with the allocation of 100 MetaLab Collectibles. These Collectibles are rare and mysterious and will be awarded to our most engaged and active community members. The Collectibles can either be held and then exchanged for an as yet defined reward, or they can be traded on the secondary market (which we do not recommend as their true nature will not have been revealed). As a holder, you will have an opportunity to earn passive income – first, with opportunities to qualify to receive a portion of secondary-sales royalties, and later – with staking opportunities.

Chris from NFT Calendar: Finally, what is your take on marketing and collaborations for Metalab? How do you plan to increase visibility?

Dr. Wolf: We have a robust marketing strategy in place but our main focus is organic community growth. We’ve been focused on getting our name in front of a Solana-specific audience and between Twitter and Discord, we’ve amassed a community of 2K people in just under 2 weeks which we are very happy with. We are building a special community where people can come and hang out, make friends, talk about crypto assets, projects and NFTs, a place where everyone is welcome and part of the "MetaFamily". We’ve done several paid marketing initiatives to build awareness of our brand in the space, but we firmly believe that the project sells itself. We’ll be interested in collaborating with other projects and we’ve already opened communication with several other Solana NFT projects.
