This time around we are talking to Justas P. — founder of the CyberPigs project itself, as well as a professional developer for over 10 past years. Of course, he is an early adopter of cryptocurrencies and blockchain technologies, he first took interest in these technologies back in 2011
Chris: The CyberPigs look mean and very thoughtfully designed artwork pieces. What brought you to make this NFT? In other words, what is the story behind the development of Cyber Pigs NFT?
Justas: Both I and our team were always interested in internet technologies and any new developments beyond that. When I first heard about more advanced genetic modification mechanics, I thought it was cool, but sort of scary as well. Similar to AI, we don’t know how this could play out. And once we lose control, I don’t think we would be able to regain it.
And why did we decide to genetically modify pigs instead of anything else? Well, pigs are severely underrated. These animals are actually considered the fifth smartest animal in the world, leaving behind even dogs, and some of the chimps. They are incredible and often ignored. I think that their unrighteous status as a dirty and even a stupid animal is exactly what we needed for this project. If there will be an animal we will underestimate, overmodify, and lose our control of, that animal will be a pig, mark my word.
So, basically, we thought that it is simply cool to use a technology with an underrated potential, such as NFTs to show what could happen if don’t take other technologies with underestimated powers more seriously. Our NFTs aren’t just pieces of artwork, they are a statement to humanity and a reminder to stay alert and carefully judge all of the new technologies – whether it’s NFTs, AI, or gene modification. Also, talking about the community, we want to raise a community of new people who wants to learn more and for people who are already in the NFT space for quite some time. Chris: Also, the CyberPigs fight out a battle. What is the game plan?
Justas: Cyber Pigs is a collection of 10,000 pig characters that were originally part of a scientific experiment that went wrong. Now, these pigs have taken over the earth, and even continue to use the genetic modification technology initially developed by humans to continue improving themselves.
Our players and NFT holders will be able to in a virtual battleground where they will use their Cyber Pig’s NFTs to fight real opponents, win the 80% bet of the player who lost, improve their owned pig’s stats and even increase the value of the NFT.
Besides that, players will have the ability to go into various dungeons to fight robots that will drop different parts needed to build weapons for upgrades. There will also be a marketplace to buy or sell weapons. We want to make CyberPigs a full-scale MMORPG game with elements of metaverse and crypto technologies.
Chris: The Cyber Pigs NFT also holds a marketplace to trade materials. What are these materials? How can holders participate in the trade?
Justas: Similar to many MMORPGs we all used to play (or maybe even still play), such as RuneScape, Diablo, or World of Warcraft, our NFT holders will be able to get different accessories and items for their pigs, and all of those items will have different attributes that will allow them to increase the power, speed or other abilities of a pig.
Participating in such trades will be very easy. Holders of various items will have to put them into a marketplace for a sum of our tokens, and others will be able to buy those items. It will work very similarly to what we see in Steam or other virtual marketplaces.

Chris: Apart from being artwork NFTs, what more can the CyberPigs tokens do?
Justas: Our tokens will allow our players to pay smaller fees for different actions in our game. All the collected fees will go into the community pool which will be redistributed to NFT holders every quarter.
Chris: Similarly, what is the process of breeding the Cyber Pigs NFT? Do you have a holding period before allowing NFT breeding?
Justas: Two NFT CyberPigs create the third NFT. The player selects 2 NFT CyberPigs (male and female) for breeding, which provides a third CyberPigs that gets the stats from both breeders. This means that if you breed two rare CyberPigs, the third one will be rare as well! However, breeding isn’t that easy as only 20% of CyberPigs will be female.
We won’t have a holding period before allowing NFT breeding, but one pig will be able to breed only 5 more pigs, so there are some limits.
Chris: All the above features make the token an attractive purchase. What will be the minting cost of one Cyber Pigs NFT?
Justas: It will cost 0.1 ETH to mint one CyberPigs NFT in the pre-sale and 0.15 for the Public sale.

Justas: We will release our CyberPigs token, breeding, materials crafting, and item marketplace features in the next quarter of this year. In-game battles are going to be released in 3rd quarter of this year. After this, we are thinking of developing our characters in 3D, which would allow us to implement them in metaverse projects. A lot of projects emphasize creating metaverse worlds, but we took this challenge differently. Community, game mechanics, and characters go first.
