Diesel continues to push his web3 ambitions forward through the collaboration with the Fossil Group. They are launching together a timepiece collection, dubbed Vert, as a part of Diesel’s Metamorph project.
Curated by Diesel’s Creative Director, Glenn Martens, Vert is the fist watch of its kind in the line of Diesel products. This innovative timepiece of futuristic appearance, merging time and space in one item, was developed using VR technology. The design of the Vert watches resembles a bone structure, being “the concept of the center point, the backbone of something or somebody” as Glenn Martens explains it. There are five styles of the Vert watches with exclusive editions limited to 300 items only. The most affordable model is the Vert Three-Hand Date Stainless Steel Watch priced at $350 with the most expensive one, priced at $395.
Upon purchase of a physical watch, buyers will get a code to unlock its NFT counterpart. It will act as an entry to the Metamorph virtual realm enriched with an exciting gaming experience with special character skins and enhanced powers that will launch on November 2nd on the Diesel official platform. A limited-edition NFT will undergo three stages of transformation and evolve into custom Diesel NFT avatars dubbed ‘A:VERT:AR.’ These avatars will be the inhabitants of the Vert virtual world and will become playable inside it starting from November 17th.
