The Tokens of Life NFTs are maps made with a very accurate projection (the SR-TR map projection), in which images were post-processed from the collection NASA BLUE MARBLE, of earth.
Each NFT of Tokens of Life collection has its own moment: a specific hour of a specific day of the year, whose instant leads to a different snapshot of the earth with different seasons, and with particular day and night conditions at each region of the globe.
advantages of SR-TR projection:
– it is aesthetic;
– it is efficient;
– it is fair;
– it is indicated for 2d full world maps / zoom-out;
– it has scientific high ranking.
disadvantages of SR-TR projection:
– it is not yet a standard;
– it is not perfect for zoom-in applications.
